Allison has been resting well since about 4:30am. They came in and removed her NG (nasal-gastric)tube that they were using to keep her stomach empty at about 9:30am. That really upset her for 1/2 hour or so but ultimately made her a lot more comfortable since she's not having to breathe around it and fight it in the back of her throat. We will be closely monitoring her the rest of this morning.
Jeff has to go back to work on Saturday and so we are really desperate for helpers to come up to the hospital on Saturday. Jeff will be back up to the hospital by 5pm or so but no one (so far) will be there to help Amy and Keala through the day. At this point we have all of Sunday covered. Thank you!
